Penn St. who?????
All the hype for college football has been leaning toward the Ohio State - Penn State game today. I have been watching College football analists talk about how this game is going to be close..........................
Haaaaaaaaaa
Haaaaaaaaaa
I cant stop laughing at the idea that Penn State actually has a legitament chance of even coming close to beating Ohio State, let alone actually winning.
Penn State is in for a rude awakening against what is arguably the best defense in college football.
Not only will Penn State lose today against Ohio State, but they will lose by more than 24 points. They will be held to under 50 yards rushing and will not throw for over 150.
Penn State is facing the best defensive linebackers in college football and a deep secondary to say the least.
This is going to be ugly, and Ifeel sorry for any Penn State fans out there, because your dreams of a championship season is all but over after tonights brutal cake walk for the Buckeyes.
My prediction:
(6) Ohio State 31
(16)Penn State 7

and all this time i thought you were a fan of those sweet little kittens in Cincy.:wah:
it'll be bad. but not that bad. the Bucks wil put in the 2nd string half way thru the 3rd Qtr then PSU will start to move the ball. the score is about right but the yardage is a little low.
Good call

Well, considering the Buckeyes held #23 ranked Iowa(sorry mominIowa) to -9 yards rushing, (yes, thats negative nine yards) I see no reason for Penn State to be able to run the ball.
The Buckeyes wont go to second string on defense. They might put QB Justin Zwick in after a blowout after 3Q, but other than that they wont make many moves to second string.
The Buckeyes defense has an average of holding all opposition to under 42 rushing yards a game, after playing two top 25 teams and miami(OH) (a top 35 team), while Penn State hasn't played anyone remotly good, with the exception of Northwestern whos defense is absolutly sub-par.
My yardage prediction stands as is, and it "WILL" be ugly.
Oh, BTW Wolverine. What do you think of those Bengals?????????

Bengals are 4-0.
3rd in NFL overall yards per game.
10th overall in defense.
5th overall in points scored with 104.
2nd overall in points allowed on defense with just 38 allowed.

Penn St. who?????
My, what a nice victory! Ohio, who?
Penn St. who?????
Well,
I have to give credit to Penn State as they finally showed that they have the depth to be a force worth respecting in college football this year. I deffinetly under estimated Penn State, due largly to the fact that they havnt played a team with a ranking higher than 60 this year with the exception of Northwestern.
I was finaticly upset with the referee's, as they missed two blatently obvious holding calls to deprive Ohio State of two possessions in the fourth Quarter, but that is the way it goes--I guess--.
As for the game itself, Penn State and Ohio State were the most evenly matched teams in that game in the history of college football IMO.
Having said that, I have to say that Ohio State lossed this game due to one bad decision of QB Troy Smith who threw a pittiful interception in his own red zone resulting in a TD for Penn State. Other than that it would have been 10-10 heading into overtime.
Troy Smith is a terrible QB, and I cannot beleive a coach of Jim Tressels caliber would make the mistake of starting him over Justin Zwick. Ohio State deserved to lose this game as well as Penn State deserved to win it.
Jim Tressel needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Sit Smith and start Zwick. It will be interesting to see how long it takes him to realize his mistake.

Ohio State held Penn State to under 205 total offensive yards, while they accumulated 230. Which means they accomplished more on offense as well as defense than that of Penn State. Having said that, the entire game came down to one mistake, which was an interception thrown by Ohio State QB Troy Smith.
Penn State won, and they are very good, but to say Ohio State barely hung on is a statement only given by someone with no knowlledge of the game in all aspects.
PS: Ohio is green and white--Ohio State, however is Crimson and grey.

*tsk, tsk*
It didn't look that way on our side of the TV set, Penn State looked way too good, and I do know somethings about football, but just prefer a premier sport-basketball, instead. And the big game of the weekend is starting soon..........................
