Awwww don't be sad! A broken home is only broken if you let it be broke. So you got a divorce. The kids are not with both of you. But if you love those children w/ all your heart and all your mind, their "home" in their father's heart is not broken! The physical home that they lived in w/ you may be different, but your heart is really the safe place they know..... so no matter how far away you are, if you can keep that love bond strong, that is all that matters and nothing else will!!!

Well I've brought you all through it, today would have been our 13th anneversiary(sp?) - I can't say that I am sad, and i can't say that I am happy. I've met someone, and that is going well - I just hurt for the kids... they deserve better than a broken home and it makes me sad to think about it...

a little blue as you can tell, family is all over the world, kids with the X, girlfriend is out of the country and I just needed to talk - tnx

Dont be sad for the kids. You all have taught them not to settle for unhappy! I am glad you met someone and are keeping your head up. It will get easier (here it comes, horrible cliche) Time heals all wounds....

Just some food for thought. Swallow it or not that's up to you.:lips:

My parents divorced when my sister and I were very young 4 and 6. We both remember the fighting (it was nasty), the name calling, etc. With the love and support of eachother, my sister and I are in successful careers, with wonderful husbands. We have healthy relationships with people. We didnt turn to alcohol or drugs, or any other unhealthy habit to console the hurt from a "broken home". In my opinion is was broken BEFORE the divorce and FIXED when they finally ended it and lived apart. It doesnt hurt as bad as you think it does, not for us anyway. Just thought I could give you a different perspective. Maybe your kids might see it that way when they get a little older.

The divorce was divine for mine!

That is so sad that people have said things like that to you. You did not choose the way things happened. Some people can be soooo insensitive.
