There is a new program on TV called "Commander & Chief". IMO, it could be a setting for trying to change the mindset of the American people towards having a "female" president. As the star of the show is Gena Davis as the Commander & Chief. She portrays her character as a "strong", intelligent, difficult decision making, powerful woman! The show has been touted as a smash hit by TV critics, saying "millions' of viewers are watching this show. I myself find that I am compeled (don't know why) to watch this show, & I believe that a female president can & may very well happen within my lifetime.

What do you think, will there be a female American president within the next or so 20 years?

We had a female Prime Minister for a very brief few months a couple years back.

Don't you just love Gina Davis, she is classic and elegant in looks and voice and style. I love her, and in regards to your Q, I think it would happen soon a female President, but not sure if our generation will see it. Pity because I think it would really make the rest of the world stand up and take notice. But I sure hope it won't be Hilary Clinton.

It's very likely that either Hillary Clinton or Condoleezza Rice will be the next US president.

hehehe she was a stand in oooo gosh I would have to go look up why she was only in office briefly.

Our Prime Minister resigned and she was next in line for the conservative party leadership so was automatically put into the position of PM However for 5 months in 1993 she made a debacle of herself and when the election time came around she was promptly voted out. She just did not do well publically. Pity because us westerners really had high hopes for her.
