Halloween stories!

Anyone have any fun stories about Halloween? Good, bad or funny? Comical costume mishaps?

I remember one Halloween I got up the courage to leave a horrible horrible relationship. Drove all the way across the state to be with my girlfriends so he couldn't track me down. I like to think that was the day I officially grew up. Well, grew up a little.

Another Halloween when I was about 20 or 21 I had to work, and my boss decided it would be "fun" if we dressed up. So I dressed up as a little girl ballerina with the tutu and the bows in the hair and the white tights. It was pretty funny. Unfortunately as I was leaving work my tire exploded and I didn't have a jack, so I had to walk to the only gas station in town, which was FILLED with your standard small town mysogynistic hilljack men. They were drinking, I can't think why except that it was after midnight and heck, why NOT go to the town gas station when you want to drink? It was probably the most embarassing thing I've ever done, what with the honking and laughing on the way there, and the snickers when I finally arrived. I got my tire all fixed up and was sent on my way, but not without about a hundred sarcastic/dirty/teasing jokes the whole time. I will never be a ballerina ever again!

I was at a club in Florida one Hallows eve and the line to the bar was a long one. So Im standing and shuffling inching forward talking to whomever was next to me. I finished the drink in hand and set it down on a table that was sitting there. The table was round and had a white cloth over it and it was littered with empty beer bottles and what not. In the middle of the table was a bald head with fruit on it, like Carmen Miranda, bananas and grapes all kinds of fruit. After I set my empty drink down the head turned and said thank you. I still remember that feeling I got when I stepped back too fast and fell on my ass.

I thought the head was a mask someone set there but it was a guy underneath the table. Hands down best costume Ive seen yet !

So his costume was the table as well? That's crazy! But a great way to get free drinks.
