Why are some vegetables cheaper?

Went to do some shopping today, I always find carrots are the cheapest fresh veggie how about you, which ones do you find the cheapest?

Usually carrots, green onions and celery.

I buy regular produce but the organic section, my gosh! They want $1.69 for ONE little avocado! Crazy!

organic is outragelely priced.......I watched a show on it.......apparently its not different than regular produce!

my zucchini, yellow squash and cucumbers that came up recently in my flower garden... damned seed bag..

are just at the picking stage... swing by and help yourselves ladies:D

Good luck! We had two in California. They were great. They're tough to grow from seed though. But I wish you well on them. I adore avocados. They're my favorite.

I think its got to do with how easy it is to grow a specific one and the quanitity you get from it.
