You are right but most are done for lurkers and not those stuck in their mindset, so in that sense, they are quite useful.

So you do not think that trying to reduce the harm that religions do is a part of a worthy life. Ok.

You will not likely understand this quote but ----

"First they came for the Jews, but I did nothing because I'm not a Jew. Then they came for the socialists, but I did nothing because I'm not a socialist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I did nothing because I'm not a Catholic. Finally, they came for me, but by then there was no one left to help me." – Pastor Father Niemoller (1946)”

Given the context into which you inserted that quote, you obviously make something of it that I would not. Perhaps you care to explain your thinking there?

Seems that teachers want steady progress and demand it from their students.

What are you blathering about?

What has this post to do with logic?

Religions are evil and none of us are safe from their effects.

When Muslims try to take over Europe, you might wish for those like me who recognize their evil.

I was not speaking to logic. I was showing that university teachers know that if new knowledge stops coming in, then learning starts to fall off.

If we do not demand more, we will not get it.

That's often misquoted in fact they went for the communists first then they imprisoned the social democrats (who with the other opposition poarties would nhave had enough votes to stop the enabling act ) they never went for the catholics because they had the backiong of then pope (in return fopr the catholic church being given control of education amongst other things) who suspended those of his congregation that had bween speaking out about what was happening while some protestants continued to speak out the protestant establishment was keen to make their own accomodation. Neimoller initially supported the nazis against the atheistic communists. The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion in some fom or another still exist in every demented conspiracy theory morhed nicely with hitlers world view. The religious would make a pact with anyone to keep control regardless of the consequences that's why the pope, tyhe patriach or the archbishop of canterbury can't bring themselves to condemn islamic terrorism - respect religion or die they all belioeve the same.

Reality is bad enough you don't need to make things up but the trouble with people like you is that the cure you suggest is just as bad as the disease. You can try and get people to agree with you you can't force them because all you do is reinforce their walls as it were. Though I would agree we need to stop pandering to religion in our own countries the right to shoiut cobblers at the eligious should not be taken for granted.

If a mind is so stupid that it cannot wonder or recognize that a change of thinking is required, then let it build a high wall where we can ignore it as useless and dead.

I find the Muslims far less a worry than people who continuously spout intolerance, distrust, and hatred. That wall is a good idea. Get to building. That should keep you busy for a while.

So you prefer people who keep women as little more than slaves, have wife beating rules, favors FGM and honor killings and who thing child brides should be allowed, --- over those who are intolerant to those practices.

I will stick to my views thanks.

Those kinds of behavior are not unique to, nor limited to Muslims, nor any other religious orientation.

With every post, you show your complete ignorance and lack of empathy. You know nothing, and refuse to even begin to learn.

There are far too many people out there, who, like you, seem to believe that their brand of ignorance and intolerance is better than all the others'.

Enough of you.

You are right that those atrocities are not restricted to Islam. Christianity was in much the same mind set until secular governments brought Christianity to heel.

But go ahead and promote respect for those who continue those atrocities daily.

Enough of you and your crappy morals.
