That was startlingly well constructed, I'm impressed. And I liked the choice of performers too.

Here's the italian chap from the centre section, this time with a steel guitar and a definitive washboard accompaniment.

Sr Luti has been a regular with the Playing for Change folks for a while.

And, I believe Dr John was one of the original producers of the program.

I'm considering setting my lad in front of this to round out his education a bit. And if he learns to dance like Dan Ackroyd, all the better.

He'd do better watching Fame or Footloose to learn how to dance.

It is admittedly 52 minutes, but nobody ever came close to following this.

Of course it's possible nobody tried, but it's a valiant piece and you get to make your own pictures.

As for Randy Rainbow above, I'd not heard of the chap but he stands out from whatever competition he might have, that was impressive. I've no idea how he managed a split-screen interview with the fellow he was discussing. Technical wizardry there.

I have heard his "classic done-her-wrong apology anthem", Flower Shops. I'm not sure I'd want to be quite that far out of line, to be honest, but then I don't write Country songs either.

I love Chris Stapleton too. Morgan Wallen has a song that features Chris Stapleton...."Only Thing That's Gone".

I don't believe America had anything resembling Gilbert O'Sullivan back in 1972, a matter for which they have justifiably felt relief ever since. I blame the grannies getting access to those newfangled televisions.

I have no idea how these things happen - I'd been looking up something about Ronnie Barker and ended with Futtocks End on my screen. Does it still work, I asked myself, this is beyond half a century now.

I'm at 22:47 and I had to pause and walk away for fear of something coming loose if I didn't. The morning after, breakfast, sound effects. The rice krispies and dish lids. It is inspired.

They don't make them like that any more.

I went onto YouTube this morning. On a quest.

My hairstyle had been criticized in a cafe yesterday yet again, but this time I'm doing something about it. Somewhere on YouTube I'm going to find the right look, that was my notion.

Chuck Negron. What a hairstyle. All my life I've been looking for that. And those trousers.

The ridiculous thing is I'd never heard of Three Dog Night until I saw this clip. I have no idea how that happened.

Jeremiah was a Bullfrog.

What a guy.
