apt lyrics
Re: What are you listening to right now
That was startlingly well constructed, I'm impressed. And I liked the choice of performers too.
Here's the italian chap from the centre section, this time with a steel guitar and a definitive washboard accompaniment.

I'm considering setting my lad in front of this to round out his education a bit. And if he learns to dance like Dan Ackroyd, all the better.

Re: What are you listening to right now
It is admittedly 52 minutes, but nobody ever came close to following this.
Of course it's possible nobody tried, but it's a valiant piece and you get to make your own pictures.
As for Randy Rainbow above, I'd not heard of the chap but he stands out from whatever competition he might have, that was impressive. I've no idea how he managed a split-screen interview with the fellow he was discussing. Technical wizardry there.

Any song by Morgan Wallen (country music)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.
Re: What are you listening to right now
I have heard his "classic done-her-wrong apology anthem", Flower Shops. I'm not sure I'd want to be quite that far out of line, to be honest, but then I don't write Country songs either.

I love Chris Stapleton too. Morgan Wallen has a song that features Chris Stapleton...."Only Thing That's Gone".

Personally, I listen to a variety of music. I don't really have a favorite genre.

I am impressed. That fellow is quite talented. I had to take a couple of breaks. It's seldom that I have an uninterrupted hour to sit an listen.spot wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 2:09 am

I don't believe America had anything resembling Gilbert O'Sullivan back in 1972, a matter for which they have justifiably felt relief ever since. I blame the grannies getting access to those newfangled televisions.

I haven't ever seen this before. And I have no idea how I just saw it either. Kate Bush rather passed me by at the time which puzzles me even more.

Re: What are you listening to right now
I have no idea how these things happen - I'd been looking up something about Ronnie Barker and ended with Futtocks End on my screen. Does it still work, I asked myself, this is beyond half a century now.
I'm at 22:47 and I had to pause and walk away for fear of something coming loose if I didn't. The morning after, breakfast, sound effects. The rice krispies and dish lids. It is inspired.
They don't make them like that any more.

Re: What are you listening to right now
I went onto YouTube this morning. On a quest.
My hairstyle had been criticized in a cafe yesterday yet again, but this time I'm doing something about it. Somewhere on YouTube I'm going to find the right look, that was my notion.
Chuck Negron. What a hairstyle. All my life I've been looking for that. And those trousers.
The ridiculous thing is I'd never heard of Three Dog Night until I saw this clip. I have no idea how that happened.
Jeremiah was a Bullfrog.
What a guy.

Leicester would have been amazing, Simply Red, Lemar, Bananarama, won't mention the headline act as not bothered by that one.
