Typically, I get 2 Christmas cards from my 2 eldest siblings, and my beloved and I go shopping together sometime before or just after Christmas, grabbing something off a shelf and exclaiming "It's just what I've always wanted! Thank you!" and "I'm glad you like it. Merry Christmas!" then big smoochies. Tradition kind of goes out the window when you don't have kids.

If by getting a tattoo you could save 5 lives and prevent a terrorist attack but 2 of the terrorists have children whom might become terrorists at a later date (Im not sure when exactly) and the other 3 terrorists have cousins who may or may not be terrorists (1 of them might be undercover just pretending to be a terrorist) would you get the tattoo ? If so what would it be and where would you place it ? Also in Texas do you guys gussy up a cactus instead of a proper Christmas tree ?

I'm cursed with empathy. I think I would do it even if the child with my DNA were "defected" in some way, even if my bio-child were stillborn. I just wouldn't be able to keep it out of my head the effect my decision would have if the tables were turned.

I think I would first get a list of charities sorted by overhead percentage and start with the ones who put the most money where the charity works, rather than offices and salaries.

But first I'd sneak up and wait until he were bragging to someone about what a brave warrior he was. Then I'd spring out and roar at him while he was in mid-strut. That'd be really funny.

Dear Accountable, do you take bible stories literally ? For instance the parting of the sea, is this an actual event or a parable in your opinion ?

Since Man has free will, he can't help but put his own spin on what he writes. I believe the Old testament stories to be fantastic fables with wonderful morals. The New Testament stories of Jesus, I choose to believe simply from childish faith. I believe Paul took Jesus' teachings in the wrong direction. Don't get me started on what happened since.

In a nutshell, Jesus brought us out of legalism & taught to use our brains and hearts to guide us through life. Behavior (good acts) will not get us into heaven. Paul immediately reinstated rules of behavior that people would have to follow or be judged.

I don't like small birds. They hop around so merrily outside my window, looking so innocent. but I know that secretly, they're watching my every move and plotting to beat me over the head with a large steel pipe and take my shoe. Do you ever have this problem ?
