Hey LC, annoy, annoy, annoy, here it is geting to the end of Christmas day. Hope you faired good through it. It is really hard to get the in the Christmas feeling when it was 74+ degrees today here in Sunnyland. But you know that already.

Tomorrow is dreaded "returns" Monday, when many people go to the stores & malls to "return" their unwanted & or don't fit gifts. Fortunately, all our gifts fit & or were perfume & colognes, & gift certificates. So you made it through Christmas alone!!! Good for you, now that's over, what are you doing for New year's eve??

Hey Lady Cop

I too have been alone for Christmas and will be also for New Year - my heart is in England. Both my children and parents are there.

I dont know anyone well enough in Australia to be apart of their festivities, so I went for a walk and was surprised to see there were alot of people on their own too.

Yes I may be married to an Aussie but it is not a loving relationship and he was with his family and friends to which I was not invited. So much for the Christmas spirit

I sat and watched a couple of good movies and read some inspirational books. The day soon passed. The evening was wonderful, sad, tearful and smiles. They all phoned :-4 Had about 2 hours where I was apart of my family and thier christmas, made me feel a whole lot better. Took myself to my bed and hugged myself with that memory.

New Year will soon be upon us and I will do the same thing, so that too will pass. Then I can look forward to my son coming out for April ish time, finding us somewhere to live and make a life for us.

I have many things to be so grateful for but just once in a while the blues do knock you down. This time I decided to knock them back :p

Keep smiling LIFE IS GOOD

Take good care

Poor you to be left on your own like that, didn't your husband insist you be invited too? or even refuse to go himself if you couldn't join them? :(

I spent a 'new year' alone before and felt extremely sorry for myself. Now I realise, I should have been out there enjoying myself with anyone at all that wanted company. Make it happen, be enthusiastic! Merry Christmas.
