You know how everyone has their own "nightmare" story about getting WAY too drunk on a certain type of booze? Mine's tequila. When I pour it at work I have to turn my head so I don't smell it. And it's been 14 years since I touched the stuff. :yh_sick :lips:

There are many grades. It is clear. The aged Tequilas are amber from the wooden aging barrels. My favorite is Herreduara Anejo. About $50.00 per bottle. (US)

I was flying across the Yucatán in a Lear Jet. The only passengers were the owner and I. His roommate in college was the President of Mexico, at that time. I asked him what kind of tequila the wealthy people of Mexico prefer. He would surely know. That is how I found this very smooth tequila. All things in moderation, until she says “Let’s play”;)

Ah, BR, I have a tequila story, too.

But mine ended up with me playing volleyball in my pool one Sunday.

Topless.

In broad daylight.

BTW, jb, great post!:D

I drank Tequila for the first time a couple of years back. I liked it, but it still would not be my drink of choice.

Though many years ago when I drank too many rum & Cokes, I did not have a happy day the next day. :(

I love that song! It makes me laugh so hard!

IF I drink - which is very seldom - I prefer Kahlua and 7.

G'day JB!!! I come into the FG to learn stuff. And gee - this thread is a very steep learning curve for the antipodean blonde brain. You mean some of you guys need alcohol to move you into dancing naked in public fountains under the moonlight, or swinging from chandeliers by your green painted toenails... Mmmmmm.... Tequila??!!! Think I once had some Texan beer that actually seemed to have a preserved worm in it. Or was I dreaming? The worm may well have been experiencing feelings of inadequacy. Hic

I have lost count of just how many worms I have swallowed while drinking Tequila. As I have stated before. You must be vertical and verbal at midnight or you are not going home with anyone.

I can't believe how many people will actually eat the worm. That's just gross!

Very simple. Hold the bottle vertically, upside down. The worm (s) will slowly settle to the bottom. Take a big chug and you get tequila, worm (s) and all. I actually did this once and two people had to go over the rail. Selling Buicks, calling up Neptune.

I think the sickest I ever got was back in 1985. We were playing a drinking game. After a while, I was drinking shots of a little of anything and everything. The next day, I just wanted shot and put out of my misery.
