never say never. that usually ends up being the thing you end up doing sometime in life. you never can tell about circumstances and stuff. i have a friend who is married to a paraplegic. he has been that way for five years now. i know for a fact she goes out and gets her needs met, but she still love her husband and will not leave him.

To be honest, I think that if most men thought they could have a one night stand with a woman they were very very attracted to, and then completely get away with it, with no comeback ever, then they would be very tempted over the course of say a 40 year marraige. Not every man would, but a lot would, I kind think a lot more women would too, but they would never admit it, so there is no point in even asking. Its not a real question anyway, because such things are never happen.

Great question GBoy :)

I'm such an honest and straightforward person that I'd probably do myself in if I ever cheated!

But 'never say never' is very true: When I was in my first marriage, my husband barely paid any attention to me. I found I was very susceptible to attention and compliments from other men because of that.

I firmly believe that, had I stayed in the marriage, I *could* have eventually strayed.

I'm glad I got out of the marriage, as it was not the right marriage for me to be in.

But for those who stay . . .

temptation and attention can make a dangerous combination :guitarist

I think if given a healthy relationship with someone they love most men probably would not cheat. I think that is VERY rare though.

i agree cher. for six years my marriage was dead, buried, everything but the funeral. it was hard ot stand here and do right when he obviously didn't. if i had it to do over again, i might do it differently. the only person doing without was me.

Hiya Z :)

But that's the loaded part of the question, isn't it?

A healthy relationship and a happy relationship and a sexual relationship aren't easy to maintain with the same person over the years

Would you guys agree? :-6

women are just a prone to looking for what is missing.

i agree. it takes two people willing to give what it takes to keep it together. all it takes is one of them to drop the ball and the relaitonship crumbles.

And Gupster :)

Sometimes it crumbles on its own -- feelings change and people don't always grow in the same direction.

I would think that, if either a man or woman was in this kind of marriage, he or she would be *very* susceptible to fooling around. How exciting it must feel to desire someone and be desired by someone! It's very, very exciting, I would think.

It's a slippery slope, isn't it? :-6

Yes, I told all the other galbally's that we weren't a schizophrenic, but they told me not to listen to the voices in my head, that just made me (them) more confused.

I don't consider the kind of flirting that I do as cheating.

It's harmless and lots of fun. :)

As you know dear I am a catholic and as far as sex goes I don't think anything is allowed, though it is admitted somewhere that sex does unfortunatly occur from time to time in various locations around the world, the upside is that catholics also tend not to worry too much about such rules in regards to their own lives only to others', and of course if you are sorry that you have been naughty, god doesn't mind too much. ;)
