Maybe we should install a Forum Garden Confessional Box - we must have a resident priest? Rabbi? Whatever??? Somewhere. People could pop in, let it all hang out, apologise their little hearts out, beat their breasts stylishly, repent, go and sin no more etc.. and put a few dollars in the box by the door, labelled AP (Apologies Processed) on their way out.

Magenta!!! Yer lettin the side down, Girlfriend. We aussies clobber the blokes senseless, we do not kiss their sorry um er what's non-gutter talk for a$$. Of course, Tombie is kinda delectable..... long moment of contemplation.. still... I'm reporting myself for my thoughts.

Can't remember whether this is aussie speak or brit speak. Having a "naughty" is doing the horizontal boogie. Having a "thoughty" is thinkin about it. And on that note, I'm outta here. It's Saturday morning and the boids are tweeting. Damn sulphur crested bloody cockatoos woke me up again.

And yup, Mag - I do routinely shoot a few - oh you mean cockies - yep, them too. And toss them on the barbie! As one does, Down Under!

I read what you wrote, Hammy.. with the MF initials in there, and did a double take. I have a gutter mind, now honed in to understand American speak. Are you a mother, Mag? :sneaky:

I apologise for the inappropriately dirty minds and general gutter mouths of my fellow posters in here. :D

Geesch, Snoozie.. no wonder you grew up strong and fine, just like that boy called Sue. How do you do?! I seem to recall lots of mud, blood and beer.

Which reminds me, anyone for a cold tinnie? OOOps

I apologise for mentioning booze which is pretty dang corrupting

And I apologise for using the expression 'cold tinnie' which may be incomprehensible to non Aussie speakers.

Um.. and I apologise for apologising when I said I wasn't going to apologise ever at all for anything

And amber fluid is unprocessed beer. Well processed beer is probably an amber fluid too, but heck, we won't go there, or I'll end up having to bloody apologise again. :lips:

I thought that was just your accent, Gups, or perhaps your finer feelings showing.

Hayell !!!

I've always had a kinda soft spot for Dadgummit !!! And similar Americanisms!! They show great linguistic creativity.

Of course 'heel' is a useful word to have in one's vocabulary too. What else would you say to a man - or a dog - who got out of line. If they don't, that's when ya shoot them, I think.
