do you have another appointment set up to return to? Hang in there, you have to see the Dr. It takes time to wean yourself off antidepressants. With luck you won't have to wait as long if the Dr missed the appointment. As well keep yourself busy as the time passes, being off the Antidepressants is tough work. Are you going to try others? Which ones were you on? How long you been on, how many have you tried? Sorry to many questions. I just recall being on mine for about 6 months and hating them, and quit cold turkey and felt way better after. Every now and then I feel that lousy feeling creeping in but I get past it with a lot of mind over matter stuff and some good good nites sleeps here and there.

I agree there Jimbo, keep busy and that helps keep the negative blackness away. El Taco I know it's easier said than done, but you gotta stand up and face the "doom and gloom" head on and tell it, it ain't gonna beat you. Just don't let it beat you. Life is easy to waste. Don't be one of those statistics.

we got a lot of success stories here El Taco, and I think a lot of us feel your pain, I truly hope you lean on us and work towards healing. Many of us are survivors, I think you should join the club.

You know how I feel about this....it hasn't changed. If you decide to keep taking an antidepressant, there are all kinds out there and it's possible that whatever you were taking was wrong for you.

I'm not one to push drugs on people but I say if you need them take them. That said, they won't solve your problems- you have to help it along by continuing to work on it. You have to do your part, the pills are just an aid.

Exercise is a good thing, but I don't think that's the only answer. There's a huge difference between having a bad day and having depression.

It sucks that your doctor wasn't there. But don't give up yet. Keep trying.

You might want to leave a message with the doc's office to tell them your off of your medication. It might get you in faster. It's not good to stop taking htem, but if they are that bothersome then, its understandable.Make sure you use your supports in time of need and deep depressive moments. hugs and good luck.
