Ingredients.

1 lb flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda or baking powder

tablespoon of ginger

tablespoon of cinnamon

2 tablespoons of treacle

3 tablespoons of sugar

some salt

1 oz of butter

milk to mix

Method

Sift all the dry ingredients together, blend in butter. Add treacle on hot spoon and then add enough milk to make a fairly stiff dough.

Flour board. Roll out with a well floured rolling pin and divide into portions or cut into rounds. Bake scones for 3 minutes on each side.

More treacle can be added on top when lukewarm + fresh cream

Yum! I am already salivating. I am poor at the kitchen but this recipe calls for an a try.
