Perched on top of the hill, in an adjoining village, I have glorious views of the nearest town with its long promenade, art deco bathing pool, St Michaels Mount and our villages harbour.
The wind is blowing a hooley, the sea is full of white horses. It's currently crashing over the promenade and bathing pool. Not sure when high tide is but no doubt the promenade will be closed for peoples safety.
I have just spent the last half hour watching a freight ship for the Isles of Scilly dock in our village harbour. It took considerable skill to get the ship through the gaps of the harbour, you could see it rolling, quite scary to watch. I've never witnessed it come into this harbour so can only assume it is too rough to continue to the towns harbour.
I do love this rough weather and rough seas, am I mad!
