Rough, rough, rough and more to come!

Perched on top of the hill, in an adjoining village, I have glorious views of the nearest town with its long promenade, art deco bathing pool, St Michaels Mount and our villages harbour.

The wind is blowing a hooley, the sea is full of white horses. It's currently crashing over the promenade and bathing pool. Not sure when high tide is but no doubt the promenade will be closed for peoples safety.

I have just spent the last half hour watching a freight ship for the Isles of Scilly dock in our village harbour. It took considerable skill to get the ship through the gaps of the harbour, you could see it rolling, quite scary to watch. I've never witnessed it come into this harbour so can only assume it is too rough to continue to the towns harbour.

I do love this rough weather and rough seas, am I mad!

Good description, Betty...I can just imagine how it is.

My cat loves the wind...although it's a bitterly cold easterly, he insisted on going outside and is now racing around the garden as if he's a kitten again :-6

Yes it got in and it was nailbiting stuff! It's a bit calmer out there now, the wind has dropped slightly as has the temperature. 5 degrees on my drive home from my sisters which is cold for down here!

Must remember to take camera out on the dog walk tomorrow, dog sitting this weekend for a friend, he's a real cutie, no trouble at all. I have to go wake him up now for our final trot around the block before bed.

My day will start tomorrow with minus 20 and a windchill of minus 40.

Rosy cheeks !

I can stand in a hot shower for a half hr after a day like that and still be shivering when I come out.

It's foggy, drizzly and overcast here again today.

Fingers crossed the weather is better for Golowan next week. Our town will be full of all local schoolchildren with their artwork on banners, papier mache models of anything and everything.

Fireworks at the outdoor pool on friday evening, lots of live music and dancing, great atmosphere!!
