Another thread states that someone here made some valid points. I fail to see any valid point made here or any valid comparison to what you eat. Sex should be between two consenting adults, at what point did an animal become consenting in this.

Eating is part of the circle of life, I fail to see where it is necessary or acceptable that the fox bangs the rabbit instead of eating it! Its just a ridiculous comparison!

What it comes down to for reasonable thinking people is that sex with animals is unacceptable in healthy society, undesirable and whoever does it is sick in the head. I'm not afraid or too PC to say it. You people who think its A-Ok will be happy to know in many cases children are next. Why? Because they're small and basically helpless just like an animal.

Even if kids don't factor in for every zoophile, those people are mentally deranged and need removing from society.

As for having sex with animals.... does it not matter that it's a completely different species?! Why would it be okay, or even healthy, to have sex with a separate species??

Is it true that some scientists believe that AIDS came about by humans having sex with monkeys? Wouldn't that prove right there why sex with other species is wrong? Not to mention that an animal can't speak our language, and therefore can't give proper consent.

Yes if you'd like to discuss the causes behind the fourteen year old being involved with this then go right ahead i'd like to see the psychological aspects of this in a modern day society. If you'd read the corresponding posts after the OP it may give you some insight into Zoophilia. No one as yet has come up with any modern day accountability for the Taboo except for "consent". But psychologically and dare I say nuerologically no one has even touched on it. In terms of it being called "disgusting" is not good enough. what it the resoning behind peoples attiude toward the term of "disgust"?

Well, looks like this thread was flogged half to death, but I have thought about it for a while, and think and agree with RG that the kid is really one sick little puppy - (excise the pun) but he needs some serious help. I don't know what more you are wanting people to say here, but that boy needs some medical attention, and quick!

Maybe the kid should be sent to Thailand where sex is so open there, maybe then he would get a piece of the action that would satisfy his curiosity, and see how he likes being on the receiving end. I suppose I am going to get lambasted for this - but tit for tat so to speak. Yup, I said that.

I can see where you're coming from Fuzzy, I mean picking your nose and eating it is something most people consider disgusting, but it's not illegal. However, I think the key word here is "consent" and sorry, but animals cannot give consent. As for the question is he sick or has society given him the idea it's ok, I think it's probably more likely to be adolescent curiosity..... not in a healthy way, but curiosity never the less. Perhaps his parents have never spoken to him about sex, if they had, I'm sure he would be aware that having sex with animals is not really the done thing, but something that should be an expression of love between two (or more!) consenting adults. If this were an adult we were referring to, the tit for tat thing might be valid, but children need as much guidance as they can get before it's too late. 14 year olds can still be reformed. It just seems to me if this kid had more/better guidance from his parents, we would be discussing something completely different right now.

There was a segment tonite on TV for BC Global News (look it up) on all the people (mostly) men that go to Thailand for sex with very very young people. They also said that for a quick romp with a 10-12- or 14 year old, it was $20.00 Cdn in our currency. There were also a lot of young boys for sale too. A man was arrested for raping and killing a dog, then he cut off its head and had sex with the open wound hung the carcass up and skinned it. His mother, when she called in the complaint, told the police that he had been "experimenting" with the dogs for years but was now threatening to "do her next". He was 47, on meds for anti-social disorders and high on crack. He also had a previous record for assaulting dogs. Soldotna, Alaska, 2007.

There is something very wrong with this type of "experimenting" and experts will tell you that it leads to more deadly behavior if not addressed.

I think whats wrong here is the fact a person would have sex with something that doesn't have the capacity to say NO or YES, its almost like a dominating, controlling sexual issue...and to me that is very wrong! Oh and yes, the animal can be harmed....to put it lightly there can be "tears" in the ummm..."butthole" :yh_blush....that can be quite painful to the animal!

Sometimes something goes wrong in the course of puberty, as we are developing sexually. Take for instance, the files on Jeffrey Dahmer. Human intercourse with animals has always psychologically been an abhorrant(sp) behavior. So has homosexuallity. The gays wont agree of course. But so has necrophilia and pedophilia. The boy needs help. The dog needs rehomed with a responsible owner who wont abuse it. Just because the offenses have been around from the beginning of time, doesnt mean that they are okay now. Whats makes people think if it wasnt right then, it's right now? Freud would have a field day with this one!

That's an interesting argument ... and I think a valid point. I don't think eating animals is morally wrong either. I just find it disgusting... there's a difference! As an analogy, you might find eating a bowl of raw eyeballs disgusting. I see all the veins and gristles, bones. Maybe I've got issues with food.

I just don't think this issue is really about helping the animal. It's about taboo and control. There are three things which have strong taboos associated with them ... food, sex, and death ... it's pretty universal across cultures, although the taboos themselves vary. That's why the same torch-and-pitchfork mob will harm that boy, then turn around and satisfy their tongues on an animal. The animals themselves have little weight in the moral reasoning ... and neither does that kid.

well its gross and people shouldnt really have sex with animals, but then i dont see it as a huge huge crime either. As someone said, we eat animals, do medical experiments on them, thats all fine, but some think its much more wrong to have sex with one??? Im not sure why.

I dont think a dog is going to be traumatised for life, and most dogs would be able to object pretty strongly if they didnt want to do something that bad.

It obviously shows some disturbances in the mind of the 14 year old, or maybe he was just oversexed and had the opportunity. I think its a shame for someone to be charged and have something like this on their record whilst so young more than anything,

Zoosexuality should no longer be illegal anywhere in the world and taught to anyone no matter what the age to whoever wants to learn more. Zoosexuals should be able to freely communicate in the open. God is not stark raving mad, Satan is, and the organized religions who presume to know God, and his word as well. Have the entire world no Longer torment the zoo. So called religious organizations should bow their heads in shame to have shed the blood of the zoo throughout history! Let the zoo, zoo, without fear. Make a law protecting the zoo that will make the human to be unwise to even think to harm the zoo, and teach humans to seek the God of life that is evident by the life on this planet with all of their mind soul, and strength, then do unto others what you would want others to do unto you, and to love your neighbors as yourself.

Think about this too. Christ is the bride to all of us, married to whomever that ever lived in history. Solomon being married to 300 wives is nothing compared to that.
