I had to wear bifocals when I hit my 40's as well. You do have to get used to them. The postioning of your head when you read, when you drive, etc.
Well, when I was in my mid-40's, I was diagnosed with cataracts, as I was getting to the point where I couldn't see even with my bifocals on. Everyting was blurry, and I was using a magnifying glass to read along with my glasses. Yeah, it was that bad. So..........I had laser surgery on both my eyes which did the trick for me. I only wear reading glasses when I'm reading a book for an extended period of time. Other than that, I am glasses-free. (Except for my sunglasses ofcourse.)
This reminds me of the glasses I wore for awhile when I was 12. Dad and Mom took all us kids to the optometrist, so we all wore them for awhile. Now, this was in the early 1960's. My glasses were blue and had the pointy-tip frame of that era. :wah: Like the style below;
My mom had a black rimmed pair shaped like that when i was a kid! :yh_rotfl
